Shadow casting workshop lightbulb and spotlight experiments

This mod can change these things:

-Workshop lightbulb to a more realistic omnidirectionlal shadowcasting lightsource, also the mesh has been edited.

-Workshop spotlight turret to a shadow casting one with twice the radius.

-Pip boy light to shadowscasting, with option mesh removal.

My intention with this mod was to find someone who might be able to answer some questions. I tried forums with no luck, I hope its gonna work out this time. I created forum topics under this mod file, useful info would be appreciated.

What is this mod exactly does:

1, Workshop hanging lightbulb:

I can’t seem to find a way to change the point of illumination on the lightbulb mesh, pushing it up on z axis by 33.9 will move it out of the way of the point of emittance but the light still emits the wrong direction. If anyone knows a way to change the point please let me know!
It is set to shadow omnidirectional also.
Shadows are buggy in the game, although you can get shadows from multiple sources at the same time.
With the bulb you can get a line where is no light if you stand in the right(wrong place), because the “light source point” location and direction is wrong, there is no light in that exact direction and the renderer won’t shade the floor texture and appearing as it knocks out the shadow or by light passing thru the character model. (really unrealistic compared to reality 🙂 ) You can see on the unmodded mesh lights the floor (screenshot) with a unique pattern coming from the model geometry and the line passing thru, the same line as the knockout line on the modified mesh version. I don’t understand this actually.
This whole thing probably can be solved by setting the point of light source correctly.

2, Workshop turret spotlight changed to shadow spotlight and twice the radius.

The issue you can test with this for example is that you turn one on then turn away from it while in the spotlight and start to walk, after reaching a distance the turret will freeze behind you and the light direction will not change unless:
1, turn so the turret spotlight light source come to be in the view or
2, walk back with your back to the spotlight until you reach the “distance”
and the movement turns back on but not where it is left off. ( I’m guessing its just the renderer, the actor moves always ).
Now this is really not realistic 🙂
I really want to know how to set that distance longer. I know its probably intentional by the developers, cause of bugs and performance issues or both.
I’m guessing that is why not many shadows and strong lights can be found around the commonwealth. 🙁
I did start a topic about this without any luck: forum link (the topic is wrong and I can’t do nothing about that now I guess.)

3, Shadows not “starting” on the ground is super unrealistic 🙂

See screenshots. (they are bad… vanilla textures etc, was no point in making any good ones)
Please share with me what you know!

Thanks for fo4edit and nifskope to their respective developers!!
