I created this mod to replace a few effects and textures in the game in order to help those who need those extra 2-5 FPS and reduce a bit of the stuttering.
What it does it’s replace a few of the mist and fog meshes with blank files to reduce a little of the indoors FPS drops.
I also rezised most of the grass, bushes textures (harvest plants are untouched), to get a bit less sttutering outdoors.
Disclaimer: You may not get a huge FPS boost, but I can attest that it made my FPS smoother on my weak laptop.
I will try to continue this work once the Official Mod Editor arrives.
INSTALLATION:
-Copy the folders to Fallout 4 Data folder and then goto MyDocuments/mygames/Fallout4
-Edit Fallout4.ini and look for this line “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\,” and add “MESHES\, TEXTURES\”, so it looks like this “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, MESHES\, TEXTURES\”
PS. Any help locating other debris or effects for textures and meshes that could improve performance would be appreciated.
