Companions get the hell over here

This is a very simple set of batch files that will help you summon a companion to you when they’re sitting somewhere dicking around with their thumbs up their asses and you can’t find them. You can easily do this using the in-game console, but that requires knowing their refIDs, and nobody’s got time to memorize that crap.

Installation:
Extract in your steamapps/common/Fallout 4 folder. NOT the data folder, the base game folder!

How to use this:

1) Open your console by hitting the (`) key.

2) Type in “bat [name here]”

3) Type in “bay hey”

The first batch file selects the companion you want to teleport to you, and the second tells them to get the fuck over here.

Here are the list of batch files:

Cait: “bat cait”
Codsworth: “bat cods”
Curie: “bat curie”
Paladin Danse: “bat danse”
Deacon: “bat deacon”
Dogmeat: “bat dog”
John Hancock: “bat jh”
MacCready: “bat mac”
Nick Valentine: “bat nick”
Piper: “bat piper”
Preston: “bat prest”
Strong: “bat strong”
X6-88: “bat x6”

Summon: “bat hey”

After typing that in and hitting enter, type in “bat hey” to summon them to your side.

There are probably more elegant ways to accomplish this, but this is just a stop-gap for lazy people like me who don’t want to deal with anything more complicated.

WARNING: Only use these for companions that you have already met and recruited as a companion. Summoning people you haven’t met yet could ruin people, places, and things in your game. This shouldn’t be used to meet people early or recruit certain companions early in the game, it should only be used to get Preston’s lazy ass out of Sanctuary so you can turn in a minuteman quest or whatever, or to summon dogmeat to your side because he can’t pick a fucking doghouse to stay in. That is all.
