This is a mod that enhances the vanilla textures for water. This has been tested on a rig with a GTX 980, i7 4770k, 32GB of RAM. Performance did not seem to take a hit. Please let me know of any issues in performance or in game issues related to this mod.
UPDATE:
2K/4K Should be up now. The shimmering has been fixed for those versions but I’m still waiting on 8K.
I will be adding NMM support as soon as possible, as well as lower quality options.
Installation:
Step 1. Extract the contents of the zip file to your Fallout 4 data folder. Located normally at:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout4\Data
if you already have the textures folder then just put the water folder inside the textures folder.
Step 2. Edit your Fallout4.ini file located at:
C:\Users\(Your Username)\Documents\my games\Fallout4
Locate “sResourceDataDirsFinal” and add “, TEXTURES\” without the quotation marks. And that’s it!
