Power Armor Re(balance)


Hello, did you too always wonder why the pinnacle of pre-war power armor development was worse than a buffed up t45? (Yes I am looking at you T60)

Or did you wonder how Enclave power armor was so prominent in the Commonwealth, without any Explanation?

Well wonder no more. This mod changes the Durabillity, ballistic, energy and rad resistance Ratings of all power armors. It also modifier Lvl lists to let Enclave armor only appear in one Special place.

Power armor Frames also got a massive buff. They give 150 damage resistance, a massive strength Bonus and increased carrying capacity.

Raider power armor, does still offer the lowest protection, but much more than before, has the lowest Radiation resistance. I doubled it´s durabillity, to make it at least slightly useful.

T45 Does now deserve the Name power armor, buffed all around except for Rad resistance. Can´t imagine that the first power armor was airtight.

T60 got a buff to, it´s now a beeffed up T45

T51 Now we are talking, T51 is much more powerful, and the best armor you can find, appart from one Little suit 😉

X0-1 Mystic armor that makes the wearer nigh invincible. Though nobody knows where it is.

WARNING: If you install this mod while during your playthrough, remove all the power armor Upgrades from your power armor (before you install) . Else the math gets mad, and nerfs your armor pieces permanently (at least all them that have Upgrades on them).
Do not be inside power armor when installing this mod, Exit power armor, save and then install this mod. The changes to the Frame would mess with your characters stats, and nerf them considerably.

(This is actually not balanced. I prefer Realism and Immersion over Balancing.)

Power armor Frame got changed quite a bit, In vanilla the Frame increases your strength up til it reaches 11, not matter how high it is.
Now the Frame grants 8 Strength no matter how much you have (I know 8 is extreme but after all you have muscles of steel in a power armor 🙂 ) The power armor Frame now also grants 100 Ballistic resistance 50 Energy and 100 Bonus carryweight.
Also the unarmed damage when inside of a Frame is increased from 10 to 30.

Raider Arms and Legs from 50 Ballistic, 25 energy and 150 rads to 75 Ballistic, 30 Energy and 15 rads.
Raider Torso from 200 Ballistic, 100 Energy and 300 Rad to 200 Ballistic 75 Energy and 15 rads
Raider Helmet from 100 Ballistic, 50 Energy and 15 rads to 80 Ballistic 25 Energy 15 rads

Raider arms, legs and helmet upgrade Bonus from 50 durabillity and 20 Ballistic to 100 durabillity and 40 Ballistic.
Raider Torso upgrade Bonus from 100 durabillity and 20 Ballistic to 200 durabillity and 40 Ballistic

T45 Arms and legs from 50 Ballistic, 30 Energy and 150 rads to 100 Ballistic 60 Energy and 80 rads
T45 Torso from 200 Ballistic, 130 Energy and 300 rads to 250 Ballistic, 150 Energy and 100 rads

Feedback would be much appretiated. Currently working on a weapon rebalance mod that makes automatic recievers acutally worth a damm.

ps. English is not my native language so I hope this discription makes sense.

pps. Thinking about making a mod that changes weapon damage based on their caliber, Automatic weapons would get a huge boost by this. I would also decrease the number of automatic guns in the game world and make them a lot more inaccurate to “balance” this slightly.
